Has anyone seen a race fairing for the CR? I've seen some pic's from Spain for a CR race series they are running in 2009. The bikes I saw also had Termignoni exhaust systems that looked great. I go to a lot of track days and will need the fairing. I've got the tail and airbox left over from my XB12R that should fit, hell I might even try and make mounts to use my XB12R fairing. |

I just returned from the Long Beach bike show. Talked at length to one of the Buell mechanical, engine engineers (paraphrased, that's what his card says) about several engine things. One of the show bikes has a VERY nice full C.F. body. Not...a bunch of pieces just bolted on as many currently are. I didn't ask who made or is it available in fiberglass...! Fully integrated, multiple pieces, but everything fits, it looks like "one guy" did all of the design work, it's not so "pieced" together like most of the rest I've seen. Again, very well designed. Using the R's upper body mount and a few home made brackets, head lights...I'd bet it'll bolt right on a CR...at least...sometime down the road, I thinken so as an option. This bike has the chain kit on it also. Again...very nice. Afraid to ask the cost on that! Although the guy I was talking to didn't have any idea about any priced he later told me. As far as buying a new bike early next year...I'm heavily leaning toward the CR vs. the new R1. Mike |
