Although I am somewhat of a newbie myself just being on BadWeb since 2003 with my custom 2002 M2 I would like to officially welcome all the new posters to this site, which are many, especially in the last year with the announcement of the 1125R. It has brought over many UJM and cruiser riders to the bright/fun side.

Being an old fart but throughly enjoying my new '08 1125R I can really relate to the interest in this bike and all the mostly younger riders it has brought here.

We are seeing a wide variety of riding styles and interests and I think thats a good thing. I personally ride with my two best riding buds being my son who is 42 y.o. and a younger cousin who is just 19. All of us are on sport bikes and we all have very similar interests in abilities and styles.

There will be many posts with a wide variety riding interests and styles from sport cruiser types to the guys who like to pop wheelies. All are welcome from my view and I hope all will add some great information as has been standard on this fine website.

If we can all be patient, as we have been with all the questions and answers we should grow even bigger, have more fun because of this site and Buell will be a formidable marque for the future. Thanks to the site founders and all who participate, especially you younger/newer guys and gals. Good to have ya, stay with us and enjoy. Bob

+1 Bob,

I would have never dreamed of getting this bike...looking at Harley’s that Saturday morning last summer, but what’s up with that front rotor? Was the Question that I was dying to know, in my mind? Then you start looking at the specs and wow Buell may have something here.

After finding BWB I was hooked. Test road one and it was a done deal. I couldn’t believe how effortlessly the front end rose under power and it went where you pointed it.

After 30 yrs of raising 4 boys, wonderful men themselves now, and being single again, it made absolute since.

Right.

Learn to club race at 46 in a city with 3 local tracks, seemed very logical to me on a bike that is a complete head turner and a blast to ride!!!

It's a better time now than ever, to jump in with both feet.

Who would have thought?

Les

Thank you. I test rode an 1125r at Biketoberfest and was instantly hooked. Look forward to buying one and becoming a participating member.

Thank you. In the last few years I wanted to get back to dirt track, but there aren't many tracks anymore. So I thought about track days on a road course. I got the 1125R in September with the intention of street sport riding and a few track days each year. First track day in October. Couldn't resist the overwhelming erg and started converting my R to track only. First race in November at a local track. After some schooling I'm going to my first WERA race at Las Vegas the end of January. And I'm only 58 with plenty of years left to race.

It's the 1125R. It is so confidence inspiring it leads you to do foolish things.

Doug(Duggram), yes it is that confident inspiring and I really have to be "careful" trying to keep up or stay ahead of my younger counterparts. How about Jay Springsteen and Jimmie Felice in Moto ST, Great!

Good to see responses from all ages.
