I'd like to hear some thoughts on effective anti-fog solutions. What seems to work and what doesn't?
I use a product from Zooke that is basically a wax that must be reapplied every 3 days or so. I use Rain-X on the outside of my shield- it works pretty well for rain, but I'm looking for better anti-fog protection.

Fog-x by rain-x works for me.

I haven't had to do it since getting my GMAX helmet, but before that I would apply "Fog Off" to my shield. Works for a month or so, and is $5ish a bottle. No complaints.

I've tried a few of the waxes & sprays and among them I found "Catcrap" worked the best, but even that wasn't perfect. It didn't last and any time I stopped, I still had to lift my visor. Eventually I picked up one of these.

any I've never had to contend with a foggy mask again. Glasses on the other hand..

But seriously, this thing works great. If I'm stopped and looking down while fishing through pockets or something, I will still get a bit of fogging, especially on the glasses, but when I'm moving or even stopped as a light, NO FOG at all. Best thing is, on a cold day it even keeps the lower half of your face warm. It's got my recommendation.

My Nolan helmet has a fog shield insert that seems to work pretty well. It takes some getting used to initially as it does affect overall clarity. I also keep a bottle of RainX and shield cleaner with me at all times.

Speaking of RainX - it appears that the only ingredient is denatured alcohol. I remember my dad always kept a small can of this stuff in the garage along with all his other spirits and chemicals. I haven't checked, but are we paying an exorbitant amount for nicely packaged denatured alcohol that we could be getting for a fraction of the cost at the local automotive paint store?

+1 on the Foggy Respro.. I've been using one for 2 years. It does work!

As Hangetsu points out.. if you have glasses/Sun glassed and you look down while stopped you might get a little fogging on the glasses.

It took a little while to get used to wearing it and it can take a few tries to get it positioned properly in your helmet.

Overall, it works as advertised and its the only think I've found that works for both the shield and sun glasses.

FogTech is supposed to be one of the best solutions on the market as far as solutions applied to the helmet.

The Pinlock shields are my preference because they not only give you the fog protecting plastic, but they also have a double pane window effect.

It helps to have a helmet with a very thick shield. Web bike world has some interesting articles on what works...

I've read that a cut potato rubbed on the windshield will keep it from fogging. Might make you hungry all the time though so just keep the potato in your pocket with some salt.

Try Fogtech and Raincoat Free!

Just email your name and address in to these guys and they'll send you some sample.

IIRC, it expires TODAY!

I have the Fog City windshield insert for the faceshield. Works great but you have to be careful when installing. I have a nice little piece of fuzz in my field of vision. : )

Foggy Respro, damn near the best $20 I've spent on gear. No fog ever, no matter what I do.

Still don't get why most every brand is available in Europe but not here yet?
