has anyone found a true chain conversion that is made for the 1125R, along with that how hard is it to install the fairings from GD any word or hope hear say works also thanks everyone | ||

Buell Racing has a chain conversion for the 1125R. Saw it at the IMS in Dallas. Can't remember the part # or price for it though. I think Duggram is installing fairings from GD, so you might search for his posting in the 1125R board to catch up on his progress & ask any questions. | ||

You should contact Pete at Grand Stand Designs (GSD). He mentioned that he would have a chain drive in the future for the 1125. He has it now for the other Buells. BTW I hear Buell's chain drive swingarm is $2100 cause it also includes required rearsets. I have the side fairings from GSD (FlexiGlass) and I also got the under tail section. Those fairings take some work. I finally got one of those roto tools from Dewalt (18 volt) and cut the glass to fit. I got some speed nuts to attach the gills back on and made two brackets for the top mounts on the pods. Then I made one bracket for each side to attach the bottom of the fairing with Dzus fasteners. Put the fairings on last weekend and had em at the track this weekend. Didn't seem to go much faster but it sure looks great and they'll be easy to repair if damaged.  BTW I also got front race fairing, airbox cover and one piece tail from Airtech. The were pretty easy to install and look great too. | ||

These pics taken Sunday. I want to take some today from the side with correct sun and try to get Bearly to color them. Any way, any suggestions are always appreciated. BTW you'll notice that the bellypan is not on. When I put it up with the stock exhaust it was pretty obvious that I would not have tire warmer clearance. I am getting a new exhaust system in a couple of weeks. So I decided to wait on the bellypan. Besides this way I can keep my side stand a little longer. This weekend was riding school and next weekend is two days of track days. When I get the new exhaust I will remove the side stand and cut the bellypan to fit.   | ||

Speedy00, Is this a track only bike? I am just completing a GSD fairing install on a street bike. | ||

Teach, that's my bike, not Speedy00's. Remember me? We talked a couple of weeks ago about our installs in an email exchange. Yes this is a track only bike mainly because I now have the race ECM. But this bodywork is not made to work with most of the street lighting. You can't see it but there is no mount for the taillight, the cutouts are not there for headlights(Yay!!) or turn signals and there's no rear seat. The bodywork is actually a lot lighter. |
