Thanks for the clarification, redscuell. I should have been more explicit. Can I get a picture of a stock 08 where I can see the contrast between the yellow and diamond blue? HOw is that? The first picture's frame looks nearly black, which is the reason for this request. Believe it or not, I noticed that the first pic was an '08, but again I appreciate your input. Taxi cab, that's good for a laugh. |

Ah. Here's the original Buell image from the company's 08 website; sorry, I assumed.

That frame do look black. Would a side shot show the blue? |

I suck at photoshop, but here's a pretty good '08 pic to show contrast of colors to the blue frame:

A little low res to work on, but here's a try. You see a lot of blue and yellow together in Germany... |

'08 in white. White wheels might be very nice. I'll have to see how dirty the rear wheel gets after I run the prototype Drummer.

You can see if you paint your frame it would change the look quite a bit. VS with the stock 08 frame color

1 request pretty please? What would an '08 w/ Blue frame and a "Volcanic Ash" (aka Gray from the orange & gray scheme on the tubers) look like? I've been trying to visualize it, but just can't "see" it yet in my mind. Depending on the looks, a set of white plastics & some RIT dye may be called for in the future. |

Bear that is some nice work!!!! You must have one nice setup computer and some professional software to use. Could you do a whole bike in the diamond blue like the frame? Thanks -Eric |

Well when I started this thread I thought I knew what I wanted but I am now confused. Im still leaning towards the yellow with white wheels but I think the black frame looks the best. But then I saw the white on white and it looks faster to me. When duggram puts his plastics on I would like to see the yellow plastics with the yellow frame and white wheels. Obviously thats alot of yellow and graffics would be needed to break it up. Bearly I guess you enjoy doing the photoshop work cause your getting alot of requests and delivering. Good work. |

Thanks guys, all those years of pilot training finally pays off! P_squared, I've been trying to find a picture of an Old tuber like you described to get an idea of the colors you are looking for. Can you point one out for me.? Ekruizenga, having trouble duplicating the texture of the Diamond blue, but I'm working on it. |

Ponti, how did you get such a large pic onto this Board? It's ~500k. When I attempt something that size, the Board insists (the upload fails and I get a message) that it be made about a tenth that size. Advise, plz, I'm sure the answer would help us all! |

Wow, Bearly that is great! Perfect comparison of yellow plastics and the stock frame vs. black 09 frame. I have to say as much as I wanted to not have to paint the frame, it looks WAY better black framed. Damn, that turns a relatively easy mod into a bid time mod....awesome work again, thanks! |

I'd like to see this with the frame painted the same color as the wheels. And I'd also like to see the one with diamond blue bodywork. |

P^2: I have no intention of changing my bike from the anniversary color scheme, but I am curious to see how it looks with the orange frame matching the wheels. I also wanted to see the bike in diamond blue body work, though I don't necessarily have a desire to make my bike that color. |

The glass upper fairing, airbox and seat were not delivered today. The FedEx driver went right by the house and didn't stop. He tried to deliver yesterday but I wasn't home. He left a notice yesterday that I was supposed to sign, and did, that gives them permission to deliver the package with no one at home. My sponsor was home all day today and in fact she saw the truck fly by without stopping. I called FedEx tonight and they said I could not get the package until Monday. So, no pics with the new parts till Monday. However I can work on the side fairings and bellypan. I've had lots of parts delivered this month by UPS with none of these problems. As soon as I get all the parts on the bike they will be in primer gray and I will post pics. I want to see what colors Bearly can come up with on a bike with full fairings. |

7xb12ss, thanks for the PM, sorry it took me so long to get to this. I couldn't find a CR but here you go with the colors you wanted. This first one is with the white body panels (untouched from this picture)and just with red wheels. The seconded I added the air box stickers, a red caliper and a red windscreen. Thank for that Helicon. Just a few pixels painted here and there makes a big difference. I was doing this last year and it gave me some ideas. That where I came up with my quick and dirty custom look. Just the amber wheels. So who knows what sparks will fly after this thread. It would be nice to see Buell come out with as many colors as I can buy my Chevy's in. But then it would not be so much as a customization opportunity for the owner.
