Stumbling at 3800 RPM and around 4200. When it stumbles, the headlights also dim and stay dimmed until the revs drop back down. Started the last two rides, both of which were in colder driving weather, but I also rode in similar weather in the early mornings last month with no problems. No additions, although I did take apart my headlight just to take a look at it and plan adding HID lights. I have the ECMspy cable, but haven't used it yet. So stock ECM. Any ideas? |

#1- Check tightness of battery connections. |

that exact thing happened to me while I was on a 3000 mile road trip w/ the wife a couple of months ago. Engine stumbling, headlights and dials flickering. It was the battery connections. Stuck some washers on to take up the extra space, now all is well. Got rid of the hesitation during startup, also. |

Thanks for the quick response. I will give it a look when I get home. |

Check all the ground points, especially the one under the seat where the negative cable from the battery attaches to the frame. |

Make sure you file away the paint on the tail section where the grounds go in, also run a tap thru the holes. Its not enough just to make sure they are tight. |

I tightened the battery connections and the red terminal was very loose. Running great now. Thanks for the advice. |
