Does anyone have an idea on how to convert XB9SL tail to ULY tail? |

I know a Uly tail will fit on an Ss frame (same frame, same mounting points), but don't know on an SL. It will depend on the spacing of the 4 bolts that hold the tail rails to the main frame/tank. If they match, you'll need: - L and R tail rails - Undertail - Tail 'bridge' with taillight - Tag bracket - grab rails - triple tail - seat - some ingenuity for possible wiring extensions, etc, under the seat - Uly footpeg sections are required if you want to have a passenger - passenger pegs on a Uly don't mount to the tail, but to the lower frame section with the rider pegs. This will also require a different shifter setup and rear brake m/c setup with pedal. I think that covers it.... |

Wont fit without modification to the rails. You will need an ss or a tt for a direct bolt on swap. Can it be done? Yes. Is it worth the money and time involved in fabricating the needed brackets? That is up to you. |
