Wondering if anyone knows how to identify the updated oil cooler lines.... My lines have the stainless braiding but the 'flexible' sections aren't. Trying to diagnose a recurring oil leak that these 'stiff' hoses may be causing.

No one has responded. My lines are supposed to be the updated ones and they look different from my son's '03 lines but who's are the newest design?
My bike had a leak when I bought it. The elbow which exits the crankcase, on the front behind the header, leaked where it screws into the case. I replaced this elbow w/new Buell part but 2500 or so later it did the exact same thing.
Just wanted to know if the updated part is the culprit or not. Last week I installed a stablizing brace on that line to keep the elbow from wiggling. I think that is what is happening because the engine shakes but the frame that the oil cooler is attached to does not. And those stainless braided cooler lines are stiffer than 60 wt. at minus 35 degrees. Hence a leak starts when the elbow 'wiggles' for long enough time. Anyway time will tell if my 'brace' takes care of this issue.
Did I mention I hate oil leaks, esp. when they occur while on a pleasure trip!!!
