Well it's more of a seepage right now, so i'm not going to do anything yet. I've searched the forums and it seems the rear cylinder, left rear corner is a popular spot for a leak. I let my bike warm up for 3-5 minutes every morning and I have a 7 minute ride through residential neighborhoods before I can even put a load on the motor. I don't understand why these gaskets leak. I've heard all the theories of the motor heating up and everything becomes tighter, but then it shouldn't leak when warm. Can we not use a thicker gasket? At least I don't have to worry about getting coolant in my oil from a blown head gasket, but come on, 8,000 miles and I have an oil leak, WTF? On a positive note, I love the pirelli diablo stradas I just put on. |
