Finally talked the wife into letting me get an 1125CR. Best part is I didn't even need to get rid of my S1W. Should be ready Sat, they need to do some recall stuff and install the lojack.  | ||

Hey Steve, Be sure to set the security alarm to ask and guarunteed they won't be able to start the bike if it is stolen. The guys that stole mine couldn't get it started and weren't sure if it had Lojack. But luckily it was recovered with only scratches.. Insurance repaired it though. I personally live by that 4 digit pin alarm. Just my hint. Toby | ||

Thanks for the tip. I'll make sure it's set before I walk away from it for the first time. The new Lojack seemed like a no brainer for me. I get a text, phone call, and email if my bike even moves? That's awsome. | ||

By the way I forgot. Welcome and Congratulations. Besides if you are just going into the store quickly you don't have to enter the pin, just walk away and the count down timer will not enable the pin code. When you get back just start the bike like any other. But when you take the time to enter it when it ask you for the pin after you turn the bike off. You have to enter the pin once you turn the ignition on with the key. Like I mentioned its great for using at night or if you are away for extended periods of time. I'm still looking for lojack for mine but will have to wait till I get back from Korea. Happy Riding.. Toby | ||

But when you take the time to enter it when it ask you for the pin after you turn the bike off. Never understood why there couldn't be a simple yes/no option when you shut your bike down. It is silly and time consuming to have to enter the code simply to turn in on. | ||

Ridenusa41, I got it at the HD dealership when I bought the bike. It cost me about 950 bucks I think. There is no monthly fee. 950 bucks for a (supposed) 98%+ chance to get my bike back if someone trys boosting it is a good deal IMO. I guess alot of insurance places will also give you a break if you have it. I'll find out all the details tomorrow when I pick up the bike but from my understanding, if the bike moves and the keyfob isn't near it the lojack system calls, emails, and texts you to let you know. Lojack then turns on the locator beacon and the cops go get the SOB! You can also pony up another 350 or so and if your bike gets stolen isn't returned in 30 days, lojack give you 5k toward buying a new one. | ||

Picked up the bike Sat and put about 70 miles on it between Sat and Sun even thought it got a little wet at times. It was kinda funny, when I got there they told me there was so much stuff on the bike that they were setting up a training meeting to educate the staff a little better. |
