Probably fits others as well but you have to figure that out. This is a replacement muffler with the updated front hanger, it has never been mounted and has spent the last year or more sitting on a shelf in the garage. I think the hat and decals have migrated elsewhere. This does require the newer style y-mount hanger which is not included with this muffler. I also still have the old old-style WileyCo someplace that the buyer can have if I can find it if the buyer wants it. Buyer pays shipping. Let me know what it's worth as I've lost track of what these are going for these days. I've been playing with bicycles lately so I don't know the current state of Buell parts, "but I'll trust ya". I'll try to post a pic this week sometime once I get the ladder and get it down from the shelf. If anyone else knows what these are worth these days then feel free to post up the info. I will consider swaps for bicycle stuff (like a Buell MTB, hint hint, yeah I know the cost doesn't add up but I can try), so feel free to let me know if you want to get creative with the funding. I'll also be throwing a few things up on the local CraigsList that I don't feel like shipping like maybe the Ventura Rack (when I find all the pieces to it). ps, if you meet me in the greater Milwaukee area and pay cash for it I'll include a McD's Quarter Pounder with cheese and a large soda. Can't beat that deal with a large stick. And if you're in the weight loss thread we can head to Subway instead. pps, this is for a stainless steel WileyCo, not the carbon fiber version. Figured someone would be asking that. Also I can only check email/PM's in the evenings and might or might not be able to check back to the site here during the day, so be patient please, thanks. I don't need the whole ventura rack, just the piece that mounts the bags to the actual rack itself. Let me know...im in dire need. I bought a brande new WileyCo of ebay for 225 this summer that's already cracked after 500 miles. |

Do you need the arms that go to the frame of the bike, or the tall rack/hoop that the bag slips over? Sounds like you need the rack/hoop portion. If we can find someone who wants just the frame arms that attach to the bike and the short rack assembly then we can probably work something out. I'm optional on keeping the bag itself or not, but don't want to sell the tall rack and keep the short rack. But that might not be so bad since it could be considered a complete assembly. Clarify what you need and throw me an offer.
ps, the bike will be on CL again tonight at a way too high price. (Message edited by mikej on October 20, 2008) |

Yes, I need the hoop/rack (I've only got the main section that attaches to the frame, and the grab bar), so I have no way to attach luggage. |

I'll try to get some pics posted and emailed later tonight (Tuesday). Would have done it last night but something else came up (see my E85 quick board thread). |

have you decided on a price for the Wiley Co? |

No price yet. I'll post something up once I get the pics taken. Looks like new ones are going for $250-$325 or so, so I'm thinking maybe less than half of that depending on what it looks like once I get it down off of the garage shelf. Looks like just three are curious about it. I'm not going to get into a bidding war, I'll just go down the list first, second, third, unless one of you trade places in line. And if the price seems out of line once I get the pics then let me know, I won't take it personal. |

Here's some pics of the stuff: Short bracket with arms to attach to the bike
tall rack by itself
bag, mudduck/platypus not included (slimey crud run souvenir)
old WileyCo
mounting tab broke off from being run with the packing blown out apparently
different angle
dusty box of the new replacement WileyCo
peeking inside to see what's still in the box
new style front elbow requiring the updated y-mount muffler hanger (y-mount is not included)
mounting hardware, instuction sheet, warranty card
the new never installed muffler
mounting straps
entire contents
I don't know where the straps are for the old muffler so I'm thinking I might hang onto the old muffler for a future project. I'm thinking of an asking price of around $130 plus shipping if that sounds okay. Looks like the inquiry order for the muffler is: 1st in line: Buellsrule 2nd in line: 80rs427 3rd in line: badweb member via email 4th in line: Devdawg If you don't like the price then let me know. And like I think I said I'm not looking to get into a bidding war, just want to sell some stuff off at a fair and reasonable price. Let me know. (Message edited by mikej on October 21, 2008) |

I've got no idea. these guys show the rails at a bit over $120 and the whole kit without the grab bar at $286 or so. I was sort of hoping to get the M2 sold first, but that most likely won't happen in this market. I'm missing one of the small spacers that go between the rail crossbar and the crossbar under the seat, I think it took a bounce and disappeared during the removal. Also the screw knobs with the little keyring post holes to remove them started to round/bevel out so I would just use a small channel lock to remove and install the knobs when swapping the racks around so the knobs show a little "abuse". I can get a close up of the knobs if needed. Throw me an offer and I'll mull it over. PM if you want to and I'll check the email tomorrow night or will be checking the site here again tomorrow sometime. |

Hi-interested in the rack. I PM'd you. I'd like the mounting piece and whatever rack piece(s) you haven't sold yet. Rich |

Brinnutz & Bigolebuellfan, How about this option: Brinnutz has first dibs on the tall rack, Bigolebuellfan has first dibs on the mounting piece, Brinnutz was first in line so he has an option on the short rack, I can use the bag for the H-D and bicycle stuff so I don't mind keeping that. New price is close to $300 ($286 at the above source), half of that is usual used pricing, a bit less for wear and tear, divided by 4 chunks = around $35 per chunk plus shipping. So, I bill myself $35 for the bag, Brinnutz sends me $35 for the tall rack, Bigolebuellfan sends me $35 for the mounting piece, Brinnutz and Bigolebuellfan arm wrestle over the short rack and the winner sends me another $35, then once everyone decides on shipping methods we add that in. Sound like a plan? Or did I overly complicate the issue? I'll take a close up pic of the knobs tonight and post it later so there aren't any surprises. I did use this stuff, the short rack more than the tall rack, so figure there is a somewhat normal amount of wear and tear and light rust in places where the paint wore or chipped off from riding in the rain. I'll try and get some close ups of the rack details as well. I'm probably going to regret selling the rack stuff, but with the bagger in the garage the Buell doesn't see much cargo duty, and the M2 sees the classifieds more than the S2 and the rack stuff doesn't fit the S2, which means I'll probably end up selling the rack and the S2 and the Bagger and end up keeping the M2 and wishing I hadn't sold the rack stuff but that's just how it goes sometimes..... ignore that bit of ramble, I"m still waking up here |

I just recently setup my paypal account again. I know I can send a payment with it, not sure how to receive a payment with it. Postal money orders work best for me, I can cash them and put the money in my wallet for bike parts instead of into the bank where it buys food and gas. But whatever works for you and I'll figure out how it works on my end. I'll start looking for a box and some bubble wrap. PM me your mailing address. |

Sweet, I'll take the mounting piece. Paypal would work best for me, too. I sent you a PM this morning, if you could just give me your email address, I'll PP the $ to you today. Thanks! Also-if Brin opts out of either piece, I'll take it. |

The muffler deal is still floating, but yes the original one did sound good so I assume the replacement one will sound the same or similar, gave a nice bump to the power band too. I'll check email tonight to see if any of the muffler shoppers replied. |

Emails replied to. Consider the Ventura racks and mounting bracket sold to Brinnutz and Bigolebuellfan. Still waiting to hear back from the first in line on the muffler. In the mean time, for your viewing pleasure, here's a couple of pics to look at: note the lonely single washer on this screw
now note the second larger washer/spacer on the other screw, that larger washer is what grew legs during the disassembly and disappeared (it's probably hiding someplace on the bike just waiting for a chance to launch itself in the belt just to prove that rocks don't own the market on busting unbreakable belt drives)
I figure someone could find a suitable washer at a local hardware store, not really sure it is even necessary, don't know, but didn't want to have any surprises when the box was opened
These next three are pics of the screw knobs showing the rounded out removal holes and a little grunginess from using a wrench because I got tired of trying to mess with the little metal rod that came with the rack. The little rod did make for a dandy little billy club a few times when I felt like whacking little breadcrumbs on the breakfast table, ymmv.
I've got Friday off of work and will have stuff boxed up and ready to send off then unless it snows or something. If it does snow this early in the year I might be tempted to hop on the bike and deliver this stuff in person, or not. (In any case, the racks and bracket will be ready to ship on Friday) Thanks guys. |

Still waiting to hear from 1st in line for the new muffler, sounds like 2nd in line will buy it if 1st passes on it so I think we can consider it sold/pending at this point. 4th in line has interest in the used one so that's gone/pending as well. If anything changes I'll definitely post a followup to this. Thanks for the interest though, appreciate it. |
