Racerx1, Where do you get you rubber from? Trackside? What do they charge there? The set I used last year have 7 races on them & practice, no slippage yet. several racers told me I'd know when they start to go. Should I continue on with these or start fresh? | ||

Tom, I get my tires from Mark Junge who runs/rides for the Vesrah WERA endurance team. He usually has hundreds of used tires at the end of the season. Endurance racing is pretty easy on tires so you can usually get a couple/3 weekends out of them. I'd say your tires are probably getting near the end of their useful life. Heat cycling is what kills them....they could look ok (have tread) but if they are all boiled out your out of luck. A used up rear will spin pretty easily. A used up front feels like a marshmallow and moves around a lot accelerating out of a corner or suddenly starts chattering. If your looking out your visor and suddenly see green/blue/green/blue/green/blue/green/blue, thats also an indication your tires may be gone. Charlotte! good to hear from you, although you better watch who you hang out with. I won't name names (CJ, Grape, Helion), but someone(s) are saying a lot to devestate your partygirl reputation! Ice racing starts in a couple of weeks in Ft Atkinson. They added a 'supermoto ice' class, which is basically a supermotard class on ice. Every sunday in January until Daytona! Also hae the 3 hour coming up as well... | ||
