Frank, thank you for posting the pictures of the roadside memorial. I had not seen the other items as I place my flowers on Friday before the ride. The flowers were from me and Greg's sister and family. I have no idea who put the ballons, banner and sprinkled flowers there. It is beautiful and I would like to thank the people who did it. If anyone knows, please let me know. I will go by there tomorrow to see it in person. Frank, that was one of Greg's favorite places to ride too.

Dana,

I think whoever did place the balloons used the sign post to the right as the "one" in 831. There was a small photo of Greg on the sign post as well.

im thinking of riding tonight at the il harley monthly ride...really dont want to be the only buell out there though...any one here going to ride tonight

Sounds fun Tim. I have an out of town guest in for our high school reunion (won't say how many years) this weekend so I will miss it. I didn't know you had a 64 Olds. I would like to see a pic of it.

Knocked the wind out of my sails today. I bought the Buell rather than a Duacti or BMW because it was a cool bike, american company and was owned by HD thinking support would be available almost everywhere.

Now my two Pontiacs and Oldsmobile will have company. I do not know how I missed buying a Saturn and Hummer. I must be lucky.

If HD continues to sell parts and select shops continue service, I say ride!

We have no control over the situation so why worry? The bike that was rare will now be rarer.

Tim, I heard on the radio news this morning about a car jacking on Chicago expressway last night. It described a '65 Buick that stopped to investigate some mechanical noises, a van pulled over to help (haha) and they ended up car-jacking the ride.
