anyones tranny shifter lever tighten up on them at all? Mine seems to feel like it's shifting tighter and I notice that the 5 gear shift sometimes feels like it's in neutral. Also going from 1st to neutral at idle is a pain or even just shifting into second while riding is horrible it sometimes it goes into neutral instead of second.

How long since your last oil change? Sometimes that will do it if it's been a little bit too long.

Or have you just changed oil and changed brands or weight?

this happened right after I launched in 1st gear at the drag strip. So I don't think oil should have anything to do with it . I also checked the level and it looked good.It shifted good prior to running it at the dragstrip. I run royal purple 20w50 full synthetic.

No on the feeling of add'l tightness. I sometimes get a false neutral btw 5th & 6th when shifting without the clutch. I agree that the bike has a tendency to find neutral when going from 1st to 2nd (my biggest complaint with the gearbox). I don't even know if it is possible to do a clutchless shift from 1st to 2nd without dropping into neutral.

sounds like a problem with the clutch not fully disengaging.

I do not have this problem at all... In fact I find it very difficult to get to neutral from 1st; I usually have to get to it from 2nd.

Anything other than a lazy shift and/or under 1k mile standpoint is questionable.

The oil drain should show ill mechanical beings and possibly, kill the wonder.

If oil is all good and mileage low, RIDE IT and SHIFT IT with a firm boot click.

If I'm not mistaken, this is in archives...I too, thought something was wrong a few thousand miles ago but now believe it to have been a lazy left foot...mainly from fellow input owners, herein! : ) Thanks!

Since then, the tranny is like slick, that is, with a firm toe!

If still no good after the above, you know where to go...dealer.

Hope you shift comes out alright! mm
