I saw somewhere on hear that somebody put a set of back blinkers on the front, as they're shorter. So I looked at mine and noticed the front just have spacers to make them stick out to far. Took out the spacers and realized the mounting shaft is to long. Put them back on. Why didn't I just ask that guy why he used the back ones instead of taking out the spacers? Oh well just figured I'd save somebody if they had the same idea.

Don't have a link to the thread, but you can still just the fronts in "short mode" -
just take the spacers out and put them back on the shaft on the "inside" of the fairing...

Problem is that the bolt is only threaded enough for the nut to go down to the spacers. Am I missiong something?

Just re-read your advice. It worked. A little tight fit with the spacers on the inside, but made it work. I might replace the bolt with a shorter one from the hardware store next time I take off the fairing. You can't adjust the headlight much with them in there. Thanks!

2008XB....I'm the guy. I did it because I was too lazy to cut and re-thread the long stem fronts. I had no problems putting the rears on the front and did it because the shaft is the proper length. Both ways work, I am a minimalist. The less clutter in the cluster area, the better to me....Kenny
