So I had this back out on me twice now...I used the proper locktite(blue), but didn't hold...Scary moments when trying to downshift and the shifter is hanging off..... Any nifty tricks out there? Thanks, Judo |

Happened to me, loctite and some good elbow grease fixed it. |

I think I got it...more locktite...correct torque and a dab of silicone caulk on the bolt head to hold it... works great.... |

Judo......twice is a warning signal. I would drill the head and safety wire. |

Captain- Not a whole lot to safety wire to down there. I cleaned the bolt through and used a lot more locktite. An old biker gave me the silicone idea, which served two purposes. Holds it in place and lets me reference if it is backing back out.I did a 400+ mile ride over the weekend and it seemed to stay put. I was really keeping an eye on it though and kept my toe touching the lever to keep it vibrating too much.seemed fine.thanks, Judo |
