How long is the $500 certificate good for?
Don't have one and will be surprised if I do get one but won't use it anyway so it doesn't matter anyway but I was just curious in any case in case anyone cared to answer how long the certificate was good for as I was wondering if it could be applied to the 2005 model year bikes if any are announced or become available in late summer of 2004 or there abouts. would love to use the $500 certificate on a new buell, but the new models, just aren't right for me. My M-2 and S-2 are still cool...Fit, sound, etc. As mentioned above, there may have to be a T on the model number for me to be swayed over to the new buells. or a vrod motor in a sport touring model. I want more of an upright position and the buells are pretty small. |

NEWS FLASH
Hal's HD/BMC has an ad in todays Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Classifieds that offers a $500 gift card to Buellers that are upgrading to the XB series. Additionally, they are offering a $500 instant cash rebate for import owners that trade in their import on a Buell XB series.
The ads (both line and display) have no restrictions concerning length of ownership of your current Buell or any other restrictive elements. This is just a straight forward promo that anyone with a trade in can take advantage of.
So get your fellow Buellers and Wannabe Buellers to check it out locally. If the local dealer plays possum, print out the ad from Hal's website and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and negotiate with it. Should be some good clout!!!
No mention of Buell's Website or existing promo. This promo is in effect on purchases between now and 12-31-03. You can check it out at www.halshd.com .
Additionally, you should be able to see the line ad and display ad on Monday (the MJS is a day late posting classifieds) at www.jsonline.com and then click on classifieds/motorcycles and enter Hal's.
Personally, I get the feeling that the revised promotion for both existing and prospective Buell owners may have been the result of our whining on the BWB. That is...Buell listened...well, at least Hal's did.

Oh God, no... 
After being told that I wasn't eligible for the coupon since the previous Buell purchase was in September, I went ahead and got a new XB9SL.
If the restrictions have been relaxed, it will be the worst incidence of bad timing since I decided to invest in the stock market in March of 2000.

I just received my $500 coupon
Guess I was eligible after all...contrary to what the dealer told me before I bought the XB9SL. 
I spoke with them on the phone  and they told me to send it in and they would try to honor it.  Since I have already paid for the bike they told me I would have to wait until they got their money from the Mothership 
That seems reasonable. 
We'll see how it works out...looks promising, though.  |
