A group of us took off to go down to Buelltoberfest, the weather was beautiful the sun was out the traffic was light and the roads were curvy. I was headed up to wards the top of the mountain when IT happened, a deer decided that it wanted to cross the exact same piecee of road at the same time I did, (I should have checked his schedule first ). Well luckily I missed the deer but managed to lock up the rear brake in the process, in a haste to miss the guard rail I released the rear brake and grabbed a bigger handful of front brake, in this exact instance and I shit you not myself and the bike catapulted over the guard rail. The good part being that myself or the bike never touched the guardrail, the bad part being the bike chose me as it's landing spot. Well I managed to get the bike off of me, and in just a few minutes enough people had stopped to help me get the bike back up the hill and lifted over the guard rail. Upon inspection of the bike all I found were some light scratches and a bent left handlebar. All in all the bike crashes very well and I was highly impressed with how nimble it flies through the air in an attempt to do some acrobatics, I faired pretty well also and came out with only a severely sprained left ankle and a little bit of hurt pride. All the gear I had on helped cut down on injuries. Jimmy |

I had a close call on Wolf Pen as well during MBV - it finally dried up and it was my first "hard" ride down that road, hit a little gravel and the ass-end waved at me a little, lol. Glad to hear you and the bike made it out with minimal damage. |

Not only are the bikes tough, but they're intelligent as well? All it was doing was looking for the best place to land. Glad you're O.K.! R |
