Hi, What type of overpants would you use for hot weather? I work in shorts all summer and would like to get some overpants to protect from the heat mainly. Thanks, Murf2 |

I'd recommend Aerostich Darien Light. It's a light weight two piece GoreTex lined Cordura suit with removable hard pads, separate zip-in liner jacket, lots of pockets and vents. I've worn the standard Darien over regular street clothes for all kinds of weather conditions in So Cal since I got my S1 in '96 and it's worked out well. But the Light jacket with the standard pants over shorts works out better in hot weather for me while still providing reasonable crash protection. So if you're looking into just overpants for hot weather street riding, check out Aerostich Darien Light. BTW, I bought that very same tan Darien Light jacket pictured in the ad link posted above when it was offered for sale as a demonstrator closeout used in their catalog. Not a bad deal at about half list price. |

I have some Scorpion Deuce pants that I have used in the winter and in warm weather. http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no =4097 With the liner out you get pretty decent ventilation and with the liner in it will keep you warm on days when the temp drops. I was happy with my purchase since I wanted something I could use all year round. Plenty of reviews at http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/40/13682/ ITEM/Scorpion-Deuce-Overpants.aspx |
