Anybody want anything from the H-D/Buell shop here in Germany? I went there today (after getting lost a few times) and they were closed. I'm going back on Sat AM on my way to the airport. Can't test ride anything (no time), but I can pick up shirts or whatev. Let me know. |

my new tires are in the mail, estimated arrival is wed. i'm gonna rig up the front end to my porch-swing-frame for front tire removal (i just figggerd that out, and i feel really smart about that right now), so does anyone have a recommendation for a bike shop to mount and balance? should i just stick with SSHD, or is there somewheres better or cheaper? |

haha... I did that in my shed for both the front and rears... Used ratchet straps connected to the ceiling to lift the bike!!! Well once you get the wheels off take them to any bike shop. Fortunately my dad has a tire machine in his monster garage so I was able to use his. We didn't balance my tires but honestly, I can't tell the difference. Someone in the KV suggested something called "Daynabeads" apparently they settle in the low spots on the inside of the tire to balance it out. It's an option... |

if anybody got the idea to weave the road cones on 64E in the construction zone, my advice would be: "DON'T" those cones just happen to be just the right height to cleanly remove any bar-end mirrors, if you got 'em . i'm lucky i didn't end up in a tank-slapper. please learn from my mistakes. someone oughtta... and a big thank you to tank (the non-slapping one) for opening up the garage for me and shawn. |

Well I'm glad to hear that you made it home ok. It sounds like it might have been up in the air for a second, I', glad you didn't eat it though! I would like to second the thanks to Tank for helping us with the TPS reset. Its always nice to meet another fellow Buell rider and a Uly rider at that. Take care all hope to see you all soon! Hey folks...October 5th my favorite local motocross track is gonna be open. Its in NC just across the border if any one is interested. Nice track (can see all of it) and an easy drive for HRH. Take Hwy 17 south into NC and turn right at the first stoplight in NC. You can see the track from 17. I will have the KTM down there for some laps and its free for spectators. Tank/Mike you two in? tank, sorry i didn't heed your words of caution. if it makes it any better, i debated whether or not to do it for a mile, and i finally gave in to the temptation. i could have just kept that secret to my self, but i figgered i'd try to save somebody else from a bad situation. i'm not ashamed of it, but regret it none the less |

it wasn't that fun, and it is gets more annoying every time i look for the mirror that isn't there anymore next time i decide to weave some cones, i'll make sure that they aren't so tall. and be on a closed course, of course |

Myron- Claim is closed as of yesterday. Bike is totaled. They're coming to pick it up via wrecker soon. Just waiting on a call. I'm just coming back from SSHD and had a little pow-wow with Duck about buying a new bike. I'm teetering between a new 09 12SCG or a used 07-08 Nightster. Of course, one is going to my more available than the other. I am also hoping a 9SL becomes available somewhere close. The ones I have been eyeing on the Badweb classifieds have been sold |

Paul there is a XB9SL at shoreline auto on virginia beach blvd I think they were asking 5900.00 but it needs tires and it not not perfect, not bad, just not perfect. they don,t know what they have and there should be some room in that price. |

Mike- I think that bike at Shoreline is sold. I didn't see it out the two times I passed them in the past few weeks. They took my contact info and never called back. I might drop by to make sure once the weather gets better. |

Paul I saw it out there this week I think it was Monday but might have been yesterday. I drive past there so much it just blends into the background as I drive unless I make a point of looking for it. |

I just called them, Mike. You're right. It's still available. Once this weather breaks, I'll go over and give it another once over. I think they offered to bring it over to SSHD to make sure all the recalls have been done as well any other maintenance. Hell, they even offered to polish out the scrapes and scratches. My feeling is they really want to get rid of the bike. Maybe I can get some new tires thrown in I'm going start negotiations at $3000.00. I don't it's worth more than $4000.00. |
