Hello, lately my transmission has been hard to shift and finding neutral is very difficult. Also the bike will not start in gear, only in neatral. I have own the bike for 3 year & got about 14k on it. I just flush the primary fluid and performed oil change every 1-2k miles. I have also done 2 track days on this bike so I have push it to the limit many times. Have any of you guys experience this problem? If so please help. Thanks, Will |

Has the clutch ever been adjusted? |

That was my thinking - clutch adjustment. Especially the "finding neutral" trouble. Sounds like it is "dragging" a little bit and you MAY need to take some slack out of the cable. When you pull the clutch lever, how far does it move before you "feel" it? Shouldn't be much play in the lever. (Message edited by slaughter on October 04, 2008) |

Found a good set of pics - yeah, it's a Blast clutch adjustment but the procedures are the same. Pic shows that you really shouldn't have much slack in the cable - only a little freeplay when you pull the lever: Article - showing steps for complete adjustment: http://bcrider.com/blastclutch.html It really sounds something like clutch adjustment. Check it out and see if you can adjust it and see if it stops your problems before taking it to a dealer. (Message edited by slaughter on October 04, 2008) |

I have heard that another good check is the primary chain tension. |
