I went to the raleigh bike festival today and saw not one but TWO xb's in race config! Motivated me to get off my arse and get on the track. A few questions. How do I get a racing certification? Where can I do it? and are those racers members on here? I believe the numbers were 39 and 279. |

Those bikes are sponsored by Ray Price HD. One is raced by Jordan, who posts here occasionally (I don't remember his screen name.) If you call the dealership (see sponsors section) and ask for Jordan, he can give you all the info. |

It's a little late in the season for licensing schools but go to www.ccsracing.us, find a track in your area and contact them about a licensing school. |

AK, I am just beginning to get into racing as well. I've done 2 track days so far with excellent results! I plan to do 1 or 2 more track days before I go to race school most likely in Dec. To keep the cost reasonable, I plan to campaign a stock XB12R with a race kit on DOT tires. I am looking at either CCS or WERA. My budget is gonna be tight, but I think I might be able give it a shot and have some fun while I am at it!! |

Rubberdown down in Southern Pines, NC can give you a lot of information about getting License and other good tid bits. He races in the 600 class with an R6, but is a member on here. He has been racing since May I believe, also with good results on the WERA circuit. He was up there and you might have talked to him I don't know, name is Mike Warren |

As far as licensing check out cornerspeed.net it is a great school and it's close by at Virginia International Raceway. When it comes to racing CCS/ASRA are great as far as Buell racing with BMC offering a pretty good amount of contingency money, and there are quiet a few classes for Buells to run in. If you have any other questions give me a call at 919-832-2261 -Jordan |
