Here is my current setup: 2007 xb9r, K&N air filter, American Sport Bike open airbox & Jardine carbon fiber exhaust. I rode to my dealership and had the air/fuel values measured and they said it was a little lean, but not critical. I want a "fool proof" way to richen it enough. Dealer was not sure if a race ECM was mapped solely for the race pipe, and never heard of the Remus Powerizer. Does anyone know if either of these units will be better than the other for my setup? or any other dial free unit? |

theres been some discussions about the powerizer, if u leave the o2 sensors in ur ecm will try to lean out the mixture so ull just chase ur tail. but this is just speculation. have u tried ecm spy? you can adjust with that. also if u buy a wideband controller with wide band o2s u can monitor ur a/f and adjust with the ecm spy. ur set up really will come alive with more fuel. im not sure about the powerizer, havent seen anyone use it but i know lots of people would like to know if it works. but ecm spy is free and the cable is 50 bucks off ebay. with a labtop youll be able to clear codes adjust fuel and spark maps. u could pay for dyno time but this could cost 200+ to get it right, so add another 100 bucks or so and u got a wideband set up. FAST is a good brand. well good luck, and theres much more knowledgable people then I on this forum that could really explain it to u. |
