Was upgrading my headlight and noticed a smaller bulb that is burnt out?? Does anyone know what this is used for and what its part # is....or generic equilivant. Also is this used with the trigger finger button on the left front handlebar control set seems that it would but my service manual makes no reference to it. af226 |

some countries require this "position" light in case your headlight bulb breaks. Germany does, in the US it is not required. I assume all export X1s are equipped with this position bulb. It has nothing to do with the trigger finger switch. HTH |

Should be a standard 194 bulb, available from just about any auto parts store, or wal-mart auto section. Main use here in the states is, folks use it to power their HID conversions since it doesn't turn off when the starter is triggered. |

Its a passing switch. I use it to make sure idiots see me when im coming up to lights. Or if im going real fast and coming up on a car i use it to get there attention. Most people hit brakes and move! I also use it when rinding towards cars that are driving into the sun and cant see me, Also they make a headlight modulator kit that makes the headlight flash all the time in the day. And normal at night. |

Well guess that isn't working on my bike, is their a seperate relay or switched fuse to control it? Just went out and my bike has no flash of the Highbeam when button is pushed/pulled with headlight on low beam setting. Weird |
