All right, it's been quite a while, but I got the x1 back together after my Primary chain decided to eat itself and leave in quite a hurry (read as broke left side case). Anyways, I need to replace another front warped rotor and since Buell decided to rape the older Buell owners with the overpriced stock rotor, I'm looking at the EBC MD719RS rotor (same as American Sport Bike sells). I was running the Lyndall golds on the stock rotor, but how do they work on the EBC rotors? Would it be better to run the EBC HH pad over the Lyndalls? Looking for suggestions, and thanks. | ||

EBC HHs worked great on the trip, using a stock rotor. Even ran several miles off-road on the '01 S3T, leading a pack of so-called BMW "Adventure" bikes. Great fun!  Great fun smokin "ADV" bikes that cost twice as much in their supposed "environment". It's all in the rider baby! | ||

ok HERES A THOUGHT...... you can buy the center spider and bolts, additionaly you could run up to 3 wave spring washers to stop the rattle on a worn spider. However a new spider and double washers on a "stock" disk setup would prevent the dreaded "RATTLE". If you look and check with a mike, you probably have a servicable disc, since it was always the spider that, being made of aluminum, was the piece at fault with the egge-shaped spider and ratteling bolts. |
