1100 miles of smiles, 3 bruised ribs, a ton of video footage, and an empty wallet to boot. Found an awesome road in TN. 321 South!!!! 90 degree day, so many trees that the sun was barely able to evaporate the water on the ground. 12:00 in the afternoon there was steam rising from the small pockets of light that made it through. Left Thursday night and headed straight to Asheville. The next day was Gatlinburg. That took us 11 hours to do, nothing but left right left the whole way. This was by far one of the best trips I have been on. Pictures and video to come. Brankin, call me! |

I'm planning on Racing the CCS races at VIR North this weekend. I'm planning on being there Friday for Cornerspeed practice, then racing Sat/Sun. (... if all goes as planned...). Anybody headed up, if so my # is 910 783 5133. I'll be camping at the track. Nance, thanks for stopping by and thanks for the help. A single mom was very happy to get the bed/storage unit. I'm still giving stuff away! |

No we were near the Cosby area right near I-40. For 7.2 miles it was nothing but looking back over your shoulder to see where you were going, that is not an understatement. The only problem is it turned to a gravel road. That didn't bother me, nor did the crossing the Pigeon River at the bottom. It was not knowing if there was a bridge or not. The two on the sportbikes weren't too keen on crossing rivers. Probably not a bad idea being so far from civilization! Jim R., Bruised ribs??? I had a little incident jumping off the back of a truck, hands slipping off the bed and then over rotating into the side of a brand new Goldwing! Yea, there pretty tuff bikes. Everyone in the parking lot heard it! |

Nance, Boone, NC to Johnson City, TN is 421. I really dig it just outside of Shady Valley, TN myself... Until I get a decent pic in some decent sun, this teaser pic will have to do:
It's beginning to look a lot like Halloween... 1313 P.S. Those who posted questions directed towards me - I don't have time to answer right now, but I will respond, latest by the weekend. |

Brankin - That airbox looks fantastic! Mountain City is 421, Johnson City is 321.
In July of 2004, I learned to ride a bike. In September of 2004, I went to BRAG's "Running The Ridge" ride in Bonne. The first day we rode south and west, coming home on 321. The next day we rode north, hitting 58, taking it to Damascus, and then 421 through Shady Valley. I go back up there now and I can't believe I rode on those roads with 6 weeks of experience. Heh - 321 is also the infamous "ride back to the cabin at night on twisty mountain roads in the rain after someone got us lost" road. It's why I put driving lights on the bike. |

Buell demo rides at the Ray Price Capital City BikeFest. I am not sure if they will have the CR, but I know they will have 4 1125s and all the bikes will be 09s. For more information: http://capitalcitybikefest.com/ |

I'd been planning to go to this for 6 months. Back when mtb told me about it. Now I'm not going. Me and my wife are going to new york city for a short getaway. |

Sorry, the 13th of Sept. Starts on page 18 then up, most of the pictures from 18 to 26 are the group of people we rode with. The black R1 is my neighbor, the SuperHawk is Pete, and the yellow Gixxer is a young lady from Atlanta. Who by the way could ride very well! |

It's from another thread on oil pumps. Now that I look at it, I think it might be the pump itself. It looks sort of like the internals of a rotary engine, and I notice that the teeth seal against the internal cogs. |
