Put about 30 miles on the 1125 this afternoon. I expected the difference between it and my cruiser would be like comparing a scalpel to a cinderblock (oh, and it is), but I was surprised by how different the handling is from my Uly XT. So smooth, so sharp. Block-to-block city traffic wears on the palms, but I can fix that with a different set of gloves. The seat is not at all uncomfortable, the exhaust note--even with the stock cannister--is superb, and the "bubble" of quiet air behind the fairing is the best I've had in a long time. I'm a little ambivalent about throwing bags on it for touring duty, especially because the Uly is so well suited for that, but I think this bike will eclipse the Uly as a daily commuter. So freakin' awesome! |

Yeah! It's an addictive bike. I put 750 miles on mine the first week. Once you get it out in some country mountain back roads with some nice turns it's real nice. The stop light to stop light riding gets old and very hot on the legs. the exhaust header gets your right leg toasty if your not careful and the bikes coolant temps rise pretty quick in traffic. |

My comments from your first post about gettin it-- Find a place out of the way in the garage, put the Uly there and throw a cover over it. The 1125r is like a mistress that you eventually leave your wife for when you realize the mistress is everything the wife is and more, and a lot more fun. What did I tell ya. |

Yeah, but the "wife" still has the (ahem) big bags, so I have to be nice to her, too. |
