I believe that you are asking about the frame color that Buell calls Graphite Grey. Anyway, if you want it powder coated to match I have the exact match. If you want to paint it, you can get the paint from a Buell dealer in a spray can. Pete |

maybe he invested a lot of time matching the color and doesn't want it to be general knowledge... just a thought. Seems to do good work from what i can see, when i get my bike torn down, i'll probably ship off a few parts to him, last local powder coat place didn't do nearly as good of a job. |

Sorry I kinda forgot about this thread. The frame color on all XB12's from 2004-2008 are Graphite Grey. The OEM coating is a powder coating. Buell dealers sell a paint version of that color. You are right Shawn, it is not an exact match. It is nearly impossible to make a $5 rattle can paint match a matte finished powder perfectly. Superfly...it did take me a very long time to track down a match to this powder. What I can tell you is the OEM Graphite Grey powder was created for the Buell Motorcycle Co and sold to them exclusively. I don't claim to have any ability to get their powder exactly, however one would be hard pressed to tell my color and their color apart. So the true answer to Shawn's question is... no dealers have any idea who the true manufacturer is or what true name of the OEM powder is, most Buell employees have no idea and to get it is next to impossible unless your name has the word Buell or Harley-Davidson in it.
