If you really like the '08, you can upgrade your '06 steel-braided oil lines to the rubber ones like the '08. ??????????? |

I think since he's going to the '06, he's probably doesn't really like '08 with it's rubber lines!! Werewulf- check the K.V. , there's a section of it that lists recalls, might be worth a look..The written word is a lot better than my tired-ass memory sometimes |

One plus to throwing out the 08 and going 06... EcmSpy! Did they really go from steel braided oil lines to rubber? WTF downgrade. Hell, my 03 has steel braided lines. (Message edited by mr2shim on September 01, 2008) |

CRG shift/brake levers are really nice, Heli upper triple tree is also a good mod (pricey though), S foot pegs, Dark Horse Moto sliders are a must, Lyndal brake pads are a good upgrade that your 06 might need anyways, and tires too. Thats off the top of my head -- I'm sure I am forgetting something. |

Heli upper is wonderful for me with my shorter arms. Get the upgraded '07 kickstand or use some good threadlocker to keep the bolt from backing out. |

I also got the airbox with more holes (from the 12r?) and the '07 ecm map for my '06 9r. |

Tired... need sleep. Which oil lines are you folks saying are rubber? Most of mine are hard lines, but I suppose somewhere there's a set of soft lines. (Message edited by mesozoic on September 07, 2008) |

i believe in '08 they went to the rubber oil lines with the jiffy fittings at the front of the motor and to the swing arm connections. |
