06 cityx right peg and right handlebar have a high enough vibration to put my right hand and right foot to sleep. started about 2 weeks ago. Maybe something came loose? check the front sprocket sounds as if it might be loosening up.Please take the time to check that out and if thats not it see if the vibtation is RPM sensitive IE constant or just @ 3800 RPM's |

Brumbear, It happens at RPMS above 3800 up to red line. The left side is smooth so its not even transferring through the handlebars. The foot is where I most notice though. I have the service manual so the torque specs should be there. Ironhead, How should I check the motor mounts? Just check for loose bolts or is there something else to look for? |

look for cracks in the rubber on the front isolator. I had one go bad on my cityx at 6000 miles. 24000 miles later all is still well. also check teh tie bars for correct tourque. good luck. |

+1 to check your front isolator. i'm on my 3rd with only 15K on my 05 12S. to inspect, as Sub65 mentions, look at the condition of the rubber and space between the bottom collar and mount. if the mount is resting on the collar, its shot. might not be the cause of the vibes but work a look. they dont seem to last all that long. even my newest one is sliding down after a few K miles. |

Just check all of the above mentioned Items but being RPM sensitive and right side only pay extra attention to the drive system IE belt sprokets and pulley as they are all right side and rpm sensitive could mean worn instead of loose and motor mounts could also be a problem as the right side would react more than the left because of the final drive. To inspect them all we are talking 1 hr tops time well spent |

I was just referencing my service manual and you might check the rear tie bar to make sure it is not worn, loose or broken. It is attached to the rear isolator. Take a good look at the rear isolator also. Let us know what you find. |

Correct me if I am wrong, but the final drive system would vibrate according to MPH not RPM. Being that the problem is RPM sensative I would do like others suggest, and check all the engine mounting points. |

Thanks all. Great info as usual. I wont be able to check things until the weekend after. I will check everything to be safe. If the front or rear isolator is worn how much work and money will be involved to fix it? |

70 buck for a front isolator. give or take. and not to much time just move things around adn remove adn replace. |
