Author Message   Marcos Posted on Saturday, August 23, 2008 - 02:49 pm:        I know it is here somewhere...I am planning on buying a XB12 in October and would like to find out which of the Buell dealers in my area have the Pegasus award, is there a database on this site? What exactly is the criteria for receiving the Pegasus award? Nope, it's more than that. You also have to have events outside of the dealership, among other things. Ask Court, I'm sure he can fill you in on what it takes. Not sure exactly why????? Dealership politics I guess???? Find a dealer that you like is close to where you live that you like and trust. I have a dealer that is 5 minutes from my house and I have to drive an hour and a half to a dealer I trust.....weak.   Bartimus Posted on Sunday, August 24, 2008 - 04:21 pm:        It's hard for me to believe there is any serious criteria to receive the Pegasus award. I've seen some very worthless dealerships boast of having the Pegasus award. these dealerships not only don't sell that many Buells, but provide terrible service, and have hardly any Buell stuff in stock...   Cityxslicker Posted on Sunday, August 24, 2008 - 06:29 pm:        We are in the running for it this year. The Pegasus Award is a corporate, not a consumer, centric award. Some of the things that factor in are things we, as consumers, would not be concerned with. The problem comes when the award is based on corporate criteria (such as did your Phase 3 order meet or exceed . . blah, blah, blah) and we then try to assume "good or bad" dealer opinions based on ratings.
