Well, I'm about 100% sure the PO did something funky to the positive cable on my firebolt because it was ghetto rigged to the post via a nut and some rusty bolt. Anyways, would someone be so kind and take a picture of the battery and the cables so I can know exactly how the positive cable suppose to be mounted to the battery. Many many thanks. |

Let me know if these work for you. I have an extra wire coming off my + post for my HID lights. |

I went to my local HD shop and purchased the neg. wire and added it to the end of my pos. with a button head socket cap, brass washer and nylon inserted nut, then double heat shrink. This allowed me the length needed to run the cable along the side left of the battery, across the top (between the top of battery and ecm) and connect. I see the problem. You two have OEM batteries. I have some crap from Advance. The posts don't run flush with the top of the battery. They are lower. |

The OEM battery is quite a good deal. Most dealers have them for ~$60 (I think). |
