I just went to see Hell Ride earlier this week with a bunch of guys from work- HIGHLY recommended for fans of Tarantino, fans of old bikesploitation flicks, also for those of us who love a full helping of hot chicks, violence, depictions of heavy drug use- oh yeah, gotta mention Dennis Hopper raising hell and dirt on an Indian sidehack and even David Carradine... I will be buying the DVD when it comes out. Hopefully it will have more pics of the machinery, cuz there were some kewl bikes in there too- surely Tarantino will beef up the extras on a DVD issue. This was one of the few times I wanted to spend money at a movie theater to see a first run film- usually my home TV and sound system beats paying big $$$ at the theater. I enjoyed the film so much that I never did go out to cuss the theater manager for not using the big fancy 8 speaker DHX/DOLBY sound system worth a shit. Which is typical, and unforgivable, given what we pay for movies at the box office. GO SEE THIS FILM!!! Unless you're skeered of it. In that case HTFU and go see it anyway. |

Looks like we are going to see rehashes of the same characters in Tarantino films going forward. Similar themes. Similar locations. Same actors. Not that it's a bad thing, but it does hearken back to the old spaghetti western days. |

I can't find Hell Ride anywhere. We're thinking about seeing Death Race this weekend, it's playing at the drive-in! |

Looks cool but it doesn't seem to be showing 'round here yet. Funny too, 'cuz Austin is prime Tarantino territory (he hosts a B-movie fest here every year). Anybody know what their distribution plan is? HellBuelly J "We want to be free! We want to be free to do what we want to do! We want to be free to ride. And we want to be free to ride our machines without being hassled by The Man. And we want to get loaded. And we want to have a good time! And that’s what we’re gonna do. We’re gonna have a good time. We’re gonna have a party!" --Heavenly Buells "The Wild Angels" |

It's not really a Tarantino movie. He was one of the executive producers, which most likely means he provided financial support. It was written and directed by Larry Bishop. He also starred in it as Pistolero. If you are a fan of the biker exploitation movies of the 60s and 70s you will probably like Hell Ride. Since it is exactly like those movies set in 2008. I thought it was a fun and ridiculous movie. Much better than Biker Boyz or Torque. |

Much better than Biker Boyz or Torque. That's like saying it was better than a fetid bag of warm dog crap. |

Death Race doesn't grab me- except for Rhona Mitra.... HHHHHAAAWWWTTT!!! I used to love watching her on Boston Legal, back when watching Boston Legal was worth it. I'd braid the hair of her beaver with my teeth. Shatner has lived a good life, no? |

It's all good, bro- TRUST me on this, there are plenty of hot honeys being handled on Hell Ride. Never seen such tactile pleasure- one wonders how many takes certain scenes required!!! Unless your significant other has a strong tolerance for Hawt semi-nekkid chicks on screen, this is a great dude movie- I saw it with all my buds from work, after riding like mad between beer stop 1 and Hooters- then heading to the theater with time for a safety meeting, then we were primed for cinematic bliss. Actually, for the ladies there was enough dudeage/beefcake, so I guess it COULD be a date movie. As long as one's moral sensibilities weren't too sensitive, that is... Just go see the frickin flick, fugg in A. You'll enjoy/grok it. |

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides with the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and good will shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon those with great vengeance and with furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know that my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee." |
