I saved the saddlebags off the V-Strom I had. After some serious modifications to the mounting hardware they now fit my Buell! I really like the Givi stuff so I think it was worth the trouble. Total width is about 1.5 inches wider than the handguards at the widest point.

Nice job!!!! GIVIs are my weapon of choice if I have to go the hard-case route as Caribous are rare and expensive here! |

After some serious modifications to the mounting hardware they now fit my Buell! Like what? I'm interested. I like that model of Givis, did you have to relocate the rear turn signals? I had to cut off the mounting arms and fab up new ones to fit. Also the rear brace had to be shortened as the bags are not as far apart now as they were on the Strom. I did not relocate the turn signals, I just worked around them. I left about 3/8" clearance at each one. If you want I can take a few pics of the hardware. How much? Whats with the blue pin stipe? How much??? My old V-Strom was blue and this stripe looked better than the red that came on the bags. |
