Is it possible to use a manta tank on my X1, I like the 1 piece design vs the 2 piece. Plus I think it holds more fuel. |

You *can*, but you have to grind away a bit of the frame gusset at rear of the tank - The tank will fit just fine after that, but frankly, it'll look like crap. The X1 seat doesn't match the lines, nor does the frame. I did this on mine and ended up going back to the normal x1 tank as it flows better. If you really like the one piece vibe, you could always go with the fuel cell only and no cover. Sand it smooth and paint it up |

Personally, my fuel cell is ugly and not ever symmetrical. Looks like a black plastic turd under there Aren't they all ugly like mine? |

Didn't someone make an aluminum tank for the X1's along the line somewhere? |

I remember seeing a one-off hand hammered aluminum tank. Can't even imagine what that sucker cost to have fabbed, but it sure did look sweet. |

How about a carb conversion and a sexy slim older S1 or M2 tank? The aluminum tanks were made for Pro Thunder and Lightning series racers. They haven't been made for years. |
