Purchased new 07 XB12S in January 08. Only problem with bike is an erratic idle after an initial 2-3minute warm-up period. The bike will start and idle fine for the first 2 to 3 minutes and then like clockwork she will become erratic-dropping down to 800rpm and back up to 1000. After the motor is thoroughly warmed up the idle settles down to a perfect 1050 or so. I've had zero other problems with the bike-power delivery and fuel delivery have been dead on. I understand that the new bikes are set up to run a bit lean but am hoping there is a way to dial out the choppy idle after the first 2 to 3 minutes. Would appreciate any help. |

Check timing and reset TPS. Look up ecmspy. Where did you hear that new bikes are setup to run lean? They have the same fuel maps? Only thing I can think of is they they set the AFV to a lower value out of the factory? |
