Have I told you guys lately that I love my Blast? Talked to my brother today. He lives in Provo Utah (I'm in West Central Florida). Because of the cost of gasoline, he's thinking of getting a bike. He went to the HD dealership to look around but didn't see anything he liked. I sent him pictures of my Blast and he said that was exactly what he was looking for. With luck,he'll be doing a test ride soon and be joining our ranks. Oh, by the way.... I love my Blast! (Message edited by Zane on May 31, 2008) |

What's not to love? I got a nephew in Utah. Can't remember where exactly. He's in Fairbanks, AK, getting educated on something for work. |

It's been more than a week since I started this thread. Yep, still love her....lol Been riding her to and from work. It's about 30 miles round trip. She's just perfect for this. About half of it is 30/45 mph and the second half is 55/60 mph. |

Like I said earlier, I've been riding my Blast to and from work. Been rained on twice this week. Guess that's just part of what I signed up for when I decided to use a motorcycle for transportation. I still love my Blast. |

J2blue, Those are NOT warts, they're beauty marks. Just like Marilyn Monroe had. |

After filling my Blast up with gas yesterday - she gave me one more reason to love her even more - she got 87 MPG. |

87 mpg???!!!! Wow that's amazing. I've been able to get 74 once and it's never less than upper 60's but 87mpg? That is just out-flippin'-standing! |

I know! I thought the pump was lying when I only put 1.5 gallons of gas in the tank and had 130 miles on the speedometer. |

Yeah.. first time I got 68 mpg I just figured I didn't put enough in the tank. Then it happened again, and then a third time. I more than make the payment and the monthly insurance with the gasoline I save. I love this little honey a little more each day. |

Those are NOT warts, they're beauty marks. Just like Marilyn Monroe had. I cannot say for sure, but I do not believe that Marilyn Monroe in any way vibrated as much as my Blast |

I plan to ride mine to work too, hopefully after a couple more weeks of practice. I love it already though. |

Indy, I rode my around the neighborhood for a month before I starting riding to work. First in was in the neighborhood, then out in light traffic and slowly built up to it. Remember you're not in a race and you have no one to impress. Just do some easy riding and build your skill level. The blast will more than do it's part. Just go out and have some fun. The Blast is a great little commuter bike. I drive it easy and as long as I keep my 17 year old off of it I get 68 to 70 mpg. |
