My question is do you guys with 1125r's that still have your Xb actually ride them, or are they collecting dust?

I should be able to get the 1125r when the one I want comes out if I sell the cityX. If I decide to hang on to it, won't be able to pick up the 1125r until next spring at the earliest.

I traded in my 04 XB12R on the 1125 but I still have and intend to keep my 06 XB12X.
Different tools for different jobs.
In the long run I'll likely still put more miles on the Uly but it'll be close.

Yep. I kept my XB9R and inted to keep it. It is a different bike and paid for. I put way more miles on the 1125R though.

Still have my XB9SX. I go back and forth between them.

Sold my '06 XB12X to get my 1125R. I also picked up a '07 KTM 950 Super Enduro so did not really need the Uly for any off road duties anymore. I miss my XB9S that I parted out after an accident though.

If the wife would let me I'd prefer riding her XB12Scg to work due to comfort in traffic, potholes, MPG, cheaper tires...

Oh, and a lot more torque!

I have an '06 XB12Ss and an '08 1125r. If I had to have only one, I'd pick the XB. For normal riding the XBSs has better ergonomics for me and is much more enjoyable to ride at legal speeds. My 1125 has an incredibly powerful engine but is quirky below 3500 rpm and has battery/charging issues. The 1125 is my choice for track days.

kept my green 9R, sold my 12R, and just bought another 9R.

i think the green 9 gets ridden more than the 1125. i ride it on a more daily basis where as the 1125 still gets ridden to work some, but it is more of a weekend blaster.

the green 9 is NOT going anywhere, but then again i doubt the 1125 is either.

I commute with my 05' XB9SX cause its cheaper on gas
XB9SX_45MPG_$4.35/gal_about $4.35/day round trip
1125R_30MPG_$4.55/gal_about $6.85/day round trip

it adds up

mileage isn't much of an issue, as my work commute is only 12 miles (but 9 miles is twisties!). The rest of my riding is just for fun anyway.

forgot to mention that the XB will probably become my older son's ride when he is licensed. He's 14 1/2 now so won't be long...

I've got a 12Ss but I've never really bonded with the 'nearly bike' since I have an '02 XI that may well be the most 'sorted' bike to leave the factory - very little needed doing by recall.
My 1125 is a much better bike for my purposes, than any XB (x4) I've found them to be unreliable - ranging from engine grenades at 3.5k miles to not starting after being uncrated at the dealers, even my Ss needed the forks mending under warranty.
Reliability has yet to be proven with the 1125 but it would seem that further developments are in hand and will hopefully benefit the '08 owners.(whether these upgrades will ever reach the UK is a worry, since no gearbox recall letter has dropped through my letter box yet) One annoying aspect, is the glib 'take it back to the dealers and let them sort it under warranty' - this has cost me approx $400 in fuel already and more when it goes back for the development updates. I don't regret buying mine for one moment but when the next new Buell is launched, I'll not be the first in the queue to get one. (but I'll probably be second)

I kept my '07 STT and bought the 1125r. The 1125r gets ridden more because it's still new and the novelty hasn't worn off. The STT still puts a huge smile on my face when I ride it, so I'm trying to alternate between the two more often. The STT is just such a nicely sorted bike that it makes me hope that the 1125r gets sorted soon...Then it will be even more awesome!

I can't stop buying Buells. They are all wonderful bikes. The housemonster's Blast is a bit small but for just running around my small town, it's a blast. I ride the Ss the least. The Uly probably gets the most attention. It's a multi purpose bike. When I'm riding with Harley riders I take it. When I'm going a long way I take it. Or when I have to haul stuff around I'll take the ULy. It has 18000 miles of changing the oil and and tires and riding. (with a new Kick Stand and BA sensor as recall)

The 1125R is a wonderful bike. It's a bit more single minded than the Uly. Riding out in WV by myself or with some sport bike buddies to hit the twisty's. Lately Its has been in the shop a lot with surging, leaky clutch diaphragm, surging, a reflash, surging, trany recall, surging and more surging. So I haven't been able to put more than 6000 miles on it. So the Uly been there this summer to take up the slack!

Dust collector..cobwebs too! After you get feel the 1125r power, forget it. YOu won't want to take anything else out of the garage. Plus it it gets plenty of attention and looks...it is a spectacular piece of engineering. Add it up and I have only rode the XB for two weeks (in 8 months,) while waiting for rear rubber for the 25r.

I have the 1125R but I'm thinking about getting a Firebolt to make into a dedicated track bike. I think the 1125R is slowing down my learning curve a bit because it's too tempting to ride FAST on the track and overwhelm my brain. I'm not spending the time developing skills like I should.

I've got some time to think about it while I save up the money and I'm going to do a couple more track days to see if I can discipline myself. It really depends on how much I end up liking track time. If I think about racing, I don't want to jump into any of the classes the 1125R falls under, I want to start out in lightweight, which I could use an XB for.
