I would have to say that may be fairly accurate, that's about what I added to bring it to the Max. mark. I remember that now that you mention it. I am just sticking to the cold check and making sure it right around the "min" line. My basis for that is that's where it seems to hit after a 3 qt. oil change. Theoretically, 2.7 quarts is what I am supposed to add, so I may still have too much oil there by a few ounces. Who knows?!?!?!
