Can some one tell me what the quantity markings on the Dip Stick are supposed to read? |

Supposed to be .1 liter or 3.4 oz. per mark--making it .5 liter from "min" to "max". (Message edited by fresnobuell on July 30, 2008) |

Crowley & Fresnobuell, According to the Oil Check Supplement B-070,the actual range between Min. & Max. is supposed to be .25L (8.5oz.) not .5L(17 oz.)as originally marked. I would have to say that may be fairly accurate, that's about what I added to bring it to the Max. mark. And I agree, the whole oil check, dipstick readings are a little questionable. |

Thanks Palerider. I remember that now that you mention it. I am just sticking to the cold check and making sure it right around the "min" line. My basis for that is that's where it seems to hit after a 3 qt. oil change. Theoretically, 2.7 quarts is what I am supposed to add, so I may still have too much oil there by a few ounces. Who knows?!?!?! |
