I was wondering if any one has an ISR radial master cylinder on their Buell with either the ZTL or ZTL2 calipers. I am looking at getting one of their racing MCs as I am about to start to racing WERA and I need to replace my MC after a lowside. I know about the various Nissin and Brembo options. I have the option of either 15.85mm bore and 17.5mm bore. The racing radial mc has the ability to vary the leverage ratio. So my specific question relates to weather the 15.85 will work well enough for the 8 pot caliper. I have already contacted Trojan Horse in the UK as they used to sell them, and ran them on their race bike (however they only used them with an R1 front end). This question would be a little easier to answer if I could find out the diameter of the caliper piston. Anyone got one out they can get a measurment on? Thanks for any help guys. |

Thanks for the reply. I actually tried really hard to find ISR in the US. Searched for over a month. One shop (no names but they sell DUC stuff) said they had them, then when I tried to order, they stopped returning my emails and never took my calls. Another shop took my money but sent me a cable clutch lever (WTF) Got my money back but they made it seem like my fault. As if there was such thing as a $450 cable clutch lever! Importing one was way too expensive. One company wanted to charge me an extra hundred Euro just for shipping. Most just said they were out of stock with no ETA, or spoke no English. Turned out for the best though. Talked to Al at American Sportbike. Should have done that first. Set me up with a Nissin 19mm Radial, ZTL2 caliper, new hose, and some EBC race pads plus reservoir and mounting bits for about the price of just the imported ISR Master. Turns out there would be mounting problems with clearances of the ISR on the stock top triple. Stops so hard now! Scary. Practically one finger stops down the back straight on Road Atlanta. Not really recommended as a street mod. Al rocks. Thanks for the reply anyway. |

I am also thinking about upgrading to ZTL2. I had many problems with the stock ZTL setup. but with 14mm master cylinder and EBC race pads the brakes are OK. Maybe I will wait to upgrade the XB to 1125R. |
