After doing a lot of searching on saddle bags, I decided I wanted to go with Cortech. Well, I went onto their site and they said they were out of stock. I googled the bag and came across another site, and not only did they have them in stock, but they were on sale! So yeah, I got them this week and finally mounted them up today for a trial fit and some pics. What a great product!

Thanks for the pics....I have been thinking about those bags for some touring...can you tell us if there is any rubbing on the underside of the bags that might scuff the plastics? Also did you consider the tailbag to finish the set? Looking at those bags I really think they compliment the front pods VERY well. Lastly, where did you find them on sale? Now I might be able to travel without a chase car to carry my junk! |

Did anybody notice that Buell now offers saddlebags in their accessories catalog? http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=1&CategoryID=4&Produ ctID=4252 I hadn't noticed them before the '09 releases. |

These bags work very well on the 1125. I recently used the saddlebags and the top bag on a 1k mile trip. They have a neoprene pad on the backside that eliminates most of the "scuffing". However,I'd recommend using clear tape or motocross numberplate material on the rear to prevent "scuffing". I'd suggest using silicon spray on the bags because the provided coverings don't work that well. I know from experience! |

I saw those, too. They most definitely were not available before the announcement of the 2009 stuff. They also have a tailbag for the 1125R/1125CR on the site now, though I prefer my Firebolt tailbag in the looks department... |

I bought the Cortechs including the top case a few months ago. Easy fitment, and to Harlan's question, I have not had any scuffing or marring on the tail plastic as a result of using them. Here's a few do's: - Tighten down snugly - Wax the plastic surfaces - Mount as "forward" as possible so the turnsignals are not bent backward - make sure you clean the tail plastic before putting them on. (After a day's riding in rain or dusty environment) It is a nice and cost effective setup that has minimal effect on handling. |

My Oxford "First Time" bags are similar in size and shape. Seems like mine droop a bit more than the Cortechs. Can't complain, they were cheap and are working fine. Two - one week trips on them and no problems with them or the bike while using them. Z

I obtained the new Buell saddlebags for the 1125R from Biker Bob's in Taylor, MI. They are most certainly available now and were shipped overnight. The saddlebags look great on the bike and stand up very well to the elements. They are well anchored under the passenger seat cowl. In addition, they are "zipper expandable" downward and store a deceptively large amount of gear. As far as being easily "removable" as they advertise in their catalog, they ain't. |

I know it`s not as nice as the GPS systems that most of you have but my new tank bag / map holder works great. |
