Terri and I had a wonderful time at the Dinosaur. It was a pleasure meeting old friends and making new friends. The food was great (as usual), and the day went as good as hoped. The best part of the whole thing was the people. Greg, Steve & Sue, Frank, Dan, Court, Jay & Holly and Bill(?) ane all fun people to share a meal and good conversation with. I tried to post pictures, but my low level of computer literacy (I'm barely up to Hooked On Phonics)reared its head, and I'm unable to. Thanks to all for a wonderful day! |

Fortunately, nobody will *ever* figure out my super secret license plate number... (XB9SX) Don't tell anybody what it is. I only trust my close friends. And Google. Oh, and anyone on the interstate. On the other hand, I don't have friends that would make me enemies, so I understand my security needs are different. It seems a fair request to ask that it be taken down. But if you don't want it innocuously posted up, and you are around people taking pictures, and you choose a lifestyle that requires extra security diligence, then I think the failure was your own for not getting a jacket or a tail bag or something over that rear plate when the cameras came out. Though I'm guessing the "terminator esque" tramp-bike would be fairly instantly recognizable to anyone, plate or no plate. I wish I had been at the Dinosaur! I would have liked to meet you all. |

>>>I was at work 100 blocks south of you guys yesterday. Then I didn't miss you by far . . .aft3er everyone left I rode down to coffee in the 40's, then to pick up a paper from a classmate in Chelsea, to the office near Union Square and then off through Brooklyn. My license plate on my last one was fairly easy to sort out for an American bike. . . U. S. A. I've already selected the license plate for my next Buell. . . . stay tuned.

>>>>it's actually his snowboarding outfit.... Hey. . .you're a fellow urchin of the city . . . it's all about self-defense here babe! Strobes, air horns, bright colors, good gloves and boots and an acute willingness to kick the crap out of a Camry fender next to you. It was a hoot! I've got some other good venues to eat . . .heck I may even conduct one of my midnight, airtight, alright, allnight coffee and cheesecake events. . . |

I just realized that we didn't get a picture of Dan! Sorry; We didn't mean to slight you. Jaimec posted the menu; I had a Big Ass Pork Plate (appropriately named - I couldn't finish it)with double beans for sides. Terri had a chopped salad and a Pork Porto sandwich plate. I didn't pay attention to what anybody else ordered. However, as good as the food was, it paled in comparison with the people at the table. Best line of the day: "What are you, a Rocket Scientist?" "Why, yes; I work for NASA." |
