So I was bleeding the front brakes last night and managed to put the old "Hulk" on the bleeder screw while tightening it up. Of course it's soft metal and nearly 14 years old so it cracked. Anyone know if it's just a stock item available at any old auto parts store or do I have to order it from the dealer and wait weeks for it to arrive? Thanks David |

I don't know, but that makes me glad that my friend has a full shop, 'cuz I can build little parts like that if I don't have time to order them. More than once I've ground down bolts and drilled holes in them to make the needed piece, like the pin that holds the brake pads in the front caliper. |

Thanks guys. I'm heading to the Yamahondzuki dealer and then autozone if no luck there. Worse case scenario since I'm probably heading out on a trip to Indy on Thurs. is I can either take the bleeder out of the DRZ and see if it will work or ride the DRZ to Indy. (Ugh my butt hurts already thinking about that possibility). |

For future Badweb reference: The "Help" brand stuff they sell in auto parts stores has a universal kit that contains two parts - a fitting that you are supposed to tap out the caliper for, and a bleeder screw that screws into the fitting. The bleeder screw from that kit is an exact replacement for the bleeder screw on the S2 front brakes. Now I have to find the mityvac and bleed them down. |
