Darthane - Why would you wait until you were done to take pictures? Because maybe by then he'll actually have a Buell and stop using that one picture that he found in a google image search. You are of course correct. You don't have to prove anything, as long as you don't mind having zero credibility here among the largest group of Buell enthusiasts in the world. Have you stopped to ponder why no one else (outside of LSR racers) has stepped forward with proof that they have built a street Buell capable of out running a gsxr600/750 from the line all the way to 200...err 190+....err I mean...when I get the turbo on it....? I guarantee you that if they were out there they would have come forward by now and backed you up. Many have said that they HOPED that you could do it, but that obviously implies doubt that it has been done (your first claim) or that you will get it done (your second claim). Many here (myself among them)do feel it is important to police our boards and to protect others (that do not have the technical knowledge to know any better) from repeating the outrageous an unsubstantiated claims made here as truth. See, we don't want our friends to be made out to be fools because they quote claims as facts. We post up facts when we accomplish impressive feats whether of riding skill or of engineering prowess. We also do not want our reputations tarnished by these unsubstantiated claims that will get thrown in our faces, by the non-members that takes a quick scan as examples of what passes for science in the Buell community. Please, either tone down the rhetoric, sit back, listen and learn from those that have been bloody-ing their knuckles building bikes since before you were a twinkle in your Daddy's eye, or the choice of leaving on your own will be taken from you. Glitch has already given you two more warnings than he had to. I doubt that there will be a third. Respect is freely given only once. If you take it upon yourself to abuse that trust and respect it is VERY difficult to re-gain. I personally already gave you a second chance too, but you (through vitriol and invective) not only burned your bridges with me, you NUKED them, and I am all about second chances. | ||

i dont need chances because wen my bike is done im going to come to wherever the hell it is that "hammer" is at because he is "GOD" in everyones eyes on this forum and ill show his gsxr 600 what fast is..and at that time anyone else who wants to go will go and be left behind. Ill just say I love the talk...talk is cheap yes it is...but not when I know I will have what I say I will...and when everyones jaw drops I will not give the courtesy of talking to you about it or giving you all my details unless I feel like I should. I dont give smart talking dueches the time of day to look at my bike..thats why I dont post pictures and progress. The only thing that is going to get nuked is everyones bike beatin on the rev limiter and than takin a crap because my poor little crappy running buell was too much for them to hang with. | ||

Yup, "when I get it built"....again, you originally claimed it could already hit 190+ as it sat 2 weeks ago. There should be no need to re-build it if you had the courage of your convictions. Your bike, with simple re-assembly, should already be capable of doing everything you claimed in the first place. If you want to up the ante by adding a turbo then you won't mind running against No_Rice and the bike in their shop will you? After all, you are changing table stakes after being called. If not that, I'm sure that the New York and Jersey contingent can come up with another way to up the ante...say a 'busa on NOS and or/turbo? After all the challenge was laid down as: your naturally aspirated big bore XB9r versus a stock gsxr600. You are now wanting to run a turbo etc....someday, and Hammer, while not a "God" was brought into this because he a)owns a stock gsxr600, b) is willing, c)has riding skills and a reputation that are well known within the community, and d)as a cop himself running afoul of the law is a non-issue. Not to mention the fact that hammer has recently rejoined the Buell riding ranks and may not have the gixxer in however many weeks-months-years it takes you to prototype, mock-up, build, and tune your bike. I'm not calling names here, just trying to keep this honest and straight-up. Stop trying to muddy the waters with all the BS and revisionist history. | ||

That does look like a small sprocket on the back. What did you do about contact? Others who have converted to chains reported that if you keep going smaller you get contact between the chain and the swingarm. | ||

its a custom made swingarm that i had made with my uncle...which i got done for free...thats why i dont worry about money so much because i have people who i know how to do things right and can do me favors when i need it. my entire life has been based on building motors and building custom things...i just started a business with my two friends we are trying to think up a good good name. all we do is custom fabrication...motor swaps...and whatever honestly as long as you ask if we can do it and we feel like it can be done...we do it. | ||

Ok I usally am quite but you DO NOT have enough motor to do 190 on a firebolt. How do I know this I use to work for Brian Nallin when he was here in Shreveport. Blake knows we did his M2. I have seen what it take to make a buell go 180 and it's way way way more than what you have trust me I know what I'm talking about. So please just be quite you don't have it and if you think you still do I know a 600 down here that will send you home crying. This is the only time I will input on this matter. So have a nice day and stop lying cause it's going to come back and bite you hard! | ||

There are 3 factors that limit top speed; Gearing, Horsepower, and Drag. Unless you can change the laws of physics you have to address all three to reach 200mph. This is not the Matrix. | ||

I'm just curious if anyone has asked if this bike is a canadian/euro bike or not. You know thier speedo's are in kmh not mph. 200 kmph is only 124.2 mph, which is about right for a Buell. | ||

you could be make 200 hp but the bike might not be geared for it...all that power decides is how fast you get to 200...and yea it really does make sense |
