I just had an Avon Storm in the correct size mounted up on my M2L's rear wheel. Installed on the bike, I note a very tight fit along the muffler outlet tip and the left side of the inner fender. Anybody else tried this tire on a "tuber"?

I have a pair on my 2000 S-3T, but I'm using a Drummer Muffler, so there is no problem with clearance. There good tires, work well wet or dry.

Well, it's tight but it seems to be working. I went out for a test ride and tried to make it rub- torque to just short of wheelspin/wheely in first gear, mashing on the rear brake, etc. I'm not seeing any signs of scraping on the tire- even the nubs are still there- so it seems to be OK. I'm going to be two laning 130 miles back to Minneapolis today so I'll check it frequently just in case.
