Rex:

Ask:

1) Is the head section stamped?

2) If not, is it a REAL frame or a media buck of some type.

3) Question 2 only applies if you intend to do something other than hang it on the wall as art....which, by the way, makes great living room decoration with bodywork and operating directional signals.

Either way it'd be fun to have.

Geez, can you imagine if it is a display mockup and someone builds it into a functional bike? Ouch.

It is, absent a VIN, at their own risk. Additionally, if you buy a frame without the motorbike it had attached to it when it left Buell any "reasonable and prudent" person is put on notice to ask more questions.

Frankly, I can't imagine that if anyone needed a buck there would be a cheaper way to get one than just grab a production frame. I'd just ask a couple questions as opposed to sitting there later answering a more embarrasing question...."and what...you didn't even ask?"

That's just me. . .

Trust me JVV is no dummy....

Well,I can tell you right now it is not an S-2 frame. There is no removeable section on the rear of my frames and there are a bunch of things I don't recognize about it,so beware.

The frame is actually an RS/RSS frame. It can be identified by the bolt in rear subframes (RS had a rear subframe with mounts for pegs, while the RSS did not have mounts for pegs on its rear subframe), and the bolt in front V-bracket (down to tie bar that goes to crankcase). I can even see the chain rub block on the frame, which guarantees me that this is an RS/RSS frame.

What's the difference RR/RS frames?

Hmm, I need to go check if I have extra chainrub blocks for upper and lower or just the lower.
