Hey guys, New to this forum and just got a Buell, 2007 Ulysses. Got the deal on the saddlebags, bags came in, took in to the Dealership and when they were installed charged me $350 to install. Salesman and Service Manager never said anything about installation fee. Did anyone else get charged to install the bags? or Is my dealer trying to rip me off? Also I checked the bracket and it looks fairly simple to install, for that price if I would have been told I probably would have attempted to install myself. Thanks Dealer Santa Fe HD, NM |

Technically, the promo only covered the parts cost. It was done as a reimbursement to the dealership after we filled out paperwork. Now...$350, unless your dealer has nearly a $200 hourly labor rate, seems a bit steep. 2 hours' shop time is plenty from our experience... |

I'm sorry to hear you got porked, but that is typical for that dealership, it's hard to justify paying that much for something that would take you an hour, or less to do. (Message edited by bartimus on July 17, 2008) |
