So, do all the X1 tubers have a 2.5" pipe? or did they go to a 2" pipe somewhere along the line? |

All X1's are 2.5. The switch started with the S1's and S1W's in 1998. SteveH |

I think some euro buells came with a 2" header. |

Earlier tubers were two inch.....my 97 was a two inch, then they went to the larger pipe. I hear that the 2 inch helped more with torque? larger tube probably helped more with top end? REX |

US bikes started the 2.5" with the S1W. S2 and S1 were 2". |

All 97 US Buells were 2". In 98 M2 and S1 were 2" and S1W and S3 were 2.5," and all US 99 models were 2.5" |
