This will not answer your question but plug replacement depends on so many factors. Is this for a Guiness World Record or what. And does it count if you pull them then replace them then have to use them again cause the other ones failed. I used to save the old plugs in case the new ones fouled. Heck on the old 2 strokes it would get me home. |

10K Miles and they looked good on 06 Uly. Follow start up protocal, let it warm up before touching throttle. |

Sorry. Some people change them depending on time, some others depend on mileage, and others when they have problems. I usually do them once a year. So I look at them and they really are not that expensive. It is the same as changing oil. Oil is a lot cheaper than parts. So no matter what the mileage is I change it at least twice a year. Especially before it sits in the garage for the winter. Plugs are like a lot of things. They are just great when new and beyond break in they just wear out. Frequent use, temperature differences (heat cycles), physical and mechanical part degradation over the years, the quality of parts you have in the bike, and of course just luck. So enjoy it while it runs and on the rainy days have a beverage and play with it for a bit. |

05 XB9SX, changed them for the first time at 20k miles, mainly because I felt guilty. The bike was running fine, but they looked pretty ugly when removed. For what thats worth... |
