I was riding home from work the other night and when I got to my driveway my headlights went out.I got home check the fuse and it was blown.I put the spare in and everything was good.I rode about 80 miles the next day and when I got to my driveway again it blew again.Tailight still is on.I would guess a wire is grounding off some where. Can anyone suggest where I may try and chase this down.Bike is still under warranty so when I get time I could run it to the dealer but would like to look at it after work. Thanks for all and any help.

First thought is where the wiring harness goes from the frame to the forks. Were both times making a right (or left) turn from the street and hitting a bump (curb) at the end of the driveway?

^~~ what he said. The Ss seem prone to wear and tear on the harness near the steering head.

If the bike is in warranty then take it to the dealer! This gets your ride's problem addressed for free and the dealer has to report it to Buell. Then they can address it within the big picture and fix the problem within the bikes design parameters. When I got my bike it was already out of warranty. If had been in warranty, I would have taken it to them to have so much as a turn signal bulb replaced. THATS WHAT WARRANTIES ARE FOR, USE IT! It helps you out, it helps diagnose big picture problems with the design and manufacture of future Buells.

I just fixed mine. The head lights started to flash on and off, then nothing.

The ground wire behind the headlights that screws into the steering neck of the frame broke off. The wire ran over the throttle cables so when it was turned the cables had to slide through the ground wires which eventually broke it off.

I don't know if that is where your problem is but a close up look in there is easy.
